The renovation of The 411 continues to make great progress

Final touches are getting started - flooring is about 70% complete and finishes and furniture going in!

Permanent power was solidified late last month, allowing us to turn on power for light fixtures, receptacles, mechanical equipment and more. Site lighting has started around our campus, and the solar team has installed their roof safety equipment to prepare for their infrastructure work.

The first loads of furniture and millwork arrived in early October. The team has started installing audio/visual this week, with TVs arriving and the team pulling cable to locations throughout the building. The demountable glass on the west half of the building for offices, conference rooms and focus rooms has been installed and installation has begun on the east half.

Coming up in November, wireless access points will get up and running and we will start punch list items, starting on the west half of the building. 

Returning Home to The 411

Planning has begun for our return to The 411!

We are currently targeting December to begin moving in with the goal of being fully operational in our new space by January 1, 2027.

We’re forming a cross-functional move team with representatives from across Pepper. The team will coordinate workstation setup, technology, seating, storage, workplace expectations and move logistics, representing the needs of all of our teams throughout the planning process.

What to Expect

• Everyone will have an assigned workstation. Please see the workstation photos below for a preview of the new workspace design.

• We’re finalizing seating plans and will share details well before the move.

• Individual workstation storage will be more streamlined than in the previous building configuration. The photos below show the storage available within each workspace.

Technology and Facilities

Our IT and Facilities teams are developing a phased move plan so that workstations, network infrastructure and shared equipment to be fully operational before you move in.

Preview our new workstations

The 411 is on a roll!

September 22, 2026

We are approaching some important milestones in the renovation of The 411.

The coping installation will start soon, which will complete the building envelope. Work is underway on the exterior of the building, including at the loading dock on the east side of the building and concrete work on the north side. Inside, carpet and flooring are being installed, acoustical K-13 spray is in progress and will finish this week. Drywall will also finish up this week, and walls are already being painted and light fixtures installed.

Our next major milestone is bringing power to the building. ComEd has installed our new transformer to the building and anticipate energizing the new service sometime in the next two weeks. Later this month, Pepper Energy will start mobilizing in preparation for the installation of the solar panels in October.
